A temporary opportunity is available for a dedicated social worker to support a K-12 school community in Ann Arbor, MI. This contract position is designed to cover a medical leave, beginning January 5, 2026, through April 3, 2026, and focuses on serving a specialized caseload within self-contained classrooms.
Responsibilities:
- Provide social work services tailored to students in a Level III classroom setting, primarily serving those eligible under Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or Cognitive Impairment (CI) classifications.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 32 students, developing individualized support plans and interventions.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to promote student well-being and academic success.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards related to student services.
- Address emotional, behavioral, and social challenges faced by students to foster a positive school environment.
Qualifications:
- Professional licensure or certification as a social worker with experience in educational settings.
- Prior experience working with K-12 students, ideally with familiarity serving students with ASD or CI.
- Strong skills in case management, assessment, intervention, and collaboration with diverse school teams.
- Ability to work effectively within self-contained classroom environments.
